Riley Dickinson set the fastest time during the opening practice session for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge finale at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Dickinson reeled off a best lap of 1:42.369 in the No. 91 Kellymoss with Riley Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS CS he shares with Michael McCarthy, outpacing Team TGM’s Matt Plumb by 0.123 seconds.
Sam Paley and Luca Mars took third and fourth for McCumbee McAleer Racing and KohR Motorsports respectively, while Valentin Hasse-Clot made it two Aston Martins in the top five at the wheel of the No. 19 Van der Steur Racing Vantage GT4.
Gregory Liefooghe slotted into sixth at the wheel of the No. 43 Stephen Cameron Racing Ford Mustang GT4, ahead of a pair of Porsches driven by Moisey Uretsky and Stevan McAleer.
In TCR, three different manufacturers made up the top three as Morgan Burkhard led the way by posting a 1:28.398 at the wheel of the No. 99 VGRT Hyundai Elantra N TCR.
Dai Yoshihara was 0.225 seconds behind in the No. 93 Montreal Motorsport Group Honda Civic FL5 TCR, with Tim Lewis third in the No. 5 KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR.
Second practice for the Michelin Pilot Challenge is scheduled for Thursday at 9:20 a.m. EDT.
